Wellington is set to host the annual Wellington Marathon this Sunday, 29 June, with runners of all ages and abilities taking part in various events along the scenic waterfront route.
Start/Finish Line: Sky Stadium
The marathon course travels along the harbour, stretching as far as Seatoun and Miramar, with different turnaround points depending on the event:
- Kids’ Mile: Short loop near Queens Wharf
- 10km Turnaround: Balaena Bay
- Half Marathon Turnaround: Cobham Drive near Miramar Cutting
- Full Marathon Turnaround Points:
- Turn 1: East of Evans Bay Parade
- Turn 2: North near the Railway Station
- Turn 3: Shared with Half Marathon on Cobham Drive
Along the route, runners will find multiple drink stations, toilets, and first aid points. Spectator points are marked for family and supporters.
