The Mills Albert Wellington Saints have secured their place in the 2025 Sal’s NBL Grand Final with a commanding 93–68 win over The Northern Group Tauranga Whai at TSB Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Roared on by a passionate home crowd, the Saints delivered their most complete performance of the season. Combining stifling defence with sharp shooting, they dominated from start to finish to book their first Grand Final appearance since 2021.
Nick Marshall and Hyrum Harris led the scoring for the Saints, each contributing 20 points. Harris also anchored the league’s top-rated defence, causing disruption throughout and keeping Tauranga from finding any rhythm.
Kruz Perrott-Hunt (15 points) and Mojave King (13 points) battled hard for the Whai, but the visitors were ultimately overwhelmed by the Saints’ relentless tempo and tactical execution.
The win means Wellington will now host the 2025 Grand Final at TSB Arena on Sunday, 20 July. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:30pm, with doors opening at 1:30pm. Tickets go on sale Monday at 1:00pm.
With just one game standing between them and a record 13th national title, the Saints will be hoping to ride their momentum all the way to championship glory.
