Fans heading to the highly anticipated clash between Wellington Phoenix and Wrexham AFC this Saturday will have extra public transport options, thanks to boosted Metlink services.
The match kicks off at 5pm on 19 July at Sky Stadium in Wellington, and Metlink is rolling out additional capacity on key train and bus routes to ease congestion and reduce pressure on the wider transport system.
Trains will run with increased capacity before the game, and extra services will be added to the Hutt Valley, Porirua-Kāpiti, and Johnsonville lines after the final whistle. Larger buses will also be in service on core routes to accommodate the expected crowds.
Metlink is urging fans to plan ahead, travel early, and use Snapper cards to tag on and off for quicker boarding and access to discounted fares. The East-by-West ferry will operate on its usual schedule, accepting only cashless payments.
For up-to-date travel information, passengers can check the Metlink app, visit the website, or call 0800 801 700.
