Emergency services responded to a serious crash in central Johnsonville this afternoon after a pedestrian was struck by a car outside the local library.
The incident occurred shortly before 1:10pm on Moorefield Road, near the Johnsonville Library. The pedestrian is believed to have sustained serious injuries.
Police have cordoned off the area and the Serious Crash Unit has been notified. Moorefield Road is currently blocked, and motorists are being urged to avoid the area or expect significant delays.
Authorities are advising the public to take alternate routes and delay travel through Johnsonville while emergency crews work at the scene.
