Porirua business owners can use a free shared workspace at BizHub Porirua during a founding trial scheduled to run until 20 December.
The coworking space at 7 Hartham Place South is a programme of Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira. It is open to Porirua businesses, including sole traders, small teams and members of larger teams. The rūnanga says people do not need to be Māori or Ngāti Toa to join.
The trial runs from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and offers founding members a desk, Wi-Fi, a printer, kitchenette, storage and a quiet zone. Casual meeting areas and private rooms are also listed.
BizHub describes the space as a place to meet other local business people and share knowledge as well as work. Its support includes first access to mentoring, peer groups and shared services, while a monthly event called The Peak brings business owners together for speakers, mentoring and connections.
The rūnanga says membership is free for the trial, with no fee, bond or deposit. It asks founding members to take part in a monthly kōrero and help shape the space. People interested in joining can use the sign-up link on the BizHub Porirua page.
BizHub began as a Friday pop-up in August 2025. The current coworking trial began on 28 August 2026 and is due to finish on 20 December.
