The Porirua Chamber of Commerce will host its next “Business After 5” event on Wednesday, October 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Supply Room, 105 Mana Esplanade, Porirua. The session will feature leadership training from Dale Carnegie, an organisation renowned for its development programs aimed at enhancing team performance.
Drawing on more than 110 years of experience, Dale Carnegie Training will present insights from the well-known program “How to Win Friends & Influence People.” The evening will focus on key strategies to build trust, foster psychological safety, and create a workplace where communication thrives. Attendees will gain practical techniques to improve team collaboration and drive innovation within their organisations.
Speaker: Julia Price
Leading the session will be Julia Price, an experienced Dale Carnegie Trainer with a background in leadership and employee engagement. Price has worked in various sectors, including health and safety with NZ Police, and has held roles at Massey University, the NZ Red Cross, and the YMCA in London, Wellington, and Christchurch. Her experience includes contributing to the 2010/2011 earthquake response, giving her a strong understanding of leadership in challenging environments.
