State Highway 58 between Porirua and the Hutt Valley will see multiple disruptions this week due to ongoing safety and infrastructure projects.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency confirmed that from 18 to 24 October, works will continue day and night at several points along SH58, including Judgeford and Whitby. Motorists should expect altered road layouts and possible delays.
In Judgeford, near Moonshine Road and Flightys Road, day and night works will involve changes to the road layout and stop/go traffic controls from Sunday to Wednesday nights between 7pm and 5.30am.
Meanwhile in Whitby, Spinnaker Drive will remain closed at SH58 throughout the week. Turn lanes from SH58 onto the sideroad will also be closed due to slip-related repairs.
On Transmission Gully, near Kenepuru, lanes will be altered on Thursday between 8:30am and 5pm for pavement repairs.
All roadworks are weather dependent and may be postponed if conditions change. Waka Kotahi encourages drivers to plan ahead and follow signage and directions from road crews.
