Motorists travelling north on State Highway 2 should expect delays after a crash near the Haywards interchange.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi says the right northbound lane is blocked after the interchange.
Drivers are being asked to pass with extra care and allow extra time.
The crash was reported at 5.45pm on Friday 19 June.
