A car fire has reduced State Highway 1 through the Ngauranga Gorge to one northbound lane.
The incident is near the Newlands off-ramp, with emergency services at the scene.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said motorists should expect northbound delays through the area.
The update was issued at 2.55pm on Friday, 24 July.

State Highway 1 has now fully RE-OPENED northbound approaching Newlands off-ramp. Continue to expect delays northbound approaching Ngauranga Gorge as congestion eases.
