Porirua’s biggest celebration of Pacific and Māori student performance is happening today at Te Rauparaha Arena — and there’s still time to grab tickets.

Te Kiwa Nui 2025 is running all day, Friday 8 August, from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm. The event features spectacular live performances from secondary schools across the Wellington northern region, including Aotea College, Porirua College, Bishop Viard College, Mana College, Newlands College, Whitby Collegiate, and host school Tawa College.

Presented by the Wellington Northern Region Polyfest Trust, Te Kiwa Nui brings culture to the stage through powerful dance, music, and storytelling. Audiences will be taken on a cultural voyage across Aotearoa, Tonga, Te Kuki Airani, Tokelau, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Niue, and Samoa.

Whether you’re coming to support your local school or just want to enjoy a day of vibrant cultural celebration, this is a not-to-be-missed event for the whole community.
