Porirua to groove and rock with Queen, Bee Gees tribute show this Friday

Paul Madsen leads a double tribute to Queen and the Bee Gees, performing live at Porirua Club this Friday night.

Porirua Club will come alive with the sound of two legendary bands this Friday night, as Madsen Promotions brings its high-energy tribute to Queen and the Bee Gees to the stage at 1 Lodge Place.

Running from 8:00pm to 10:20pm on 24 October, the double feature promises something for all generations, from soaring stadium rock anthems to disco dance floor classics.

Fronting the Queen set is Paul Madsen as Freddie Mercury, backed by his seasoned session band. Madsen has toured the country for over a decade with his Queen tribute, delivering faithful renditions of hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, and Somebody to Love.

“Since the release of Bohemian Rhapsody, the show’s been consistently selling out with all age groups attending,” organisers said. “One thing is for sure – they will rock you.”

The night will then shift from rock royalty to disco fever as New Zealand’s own Bee Gees tribute takes over, complete with golden medallions, flared trousers, and the unmistakable falsetto sound of Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever, and Tragedy.

“It’s a full production show packed with nostalgia and dance-floor favourites,” organisers added.

Tickets are $33.30, available through here: https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2025/madsen-promotions-tribute-to-queen-bee-gees/porirua-mana/tickets. The show is open to all ages, with seating limited.

Whether you’re a fan of big hair and arena anthems or platform shoes and disco grooves, Friday night in Porirua is set to be one to remember.
