More than 70 stallholders are set to gather in Porirua this Tuesday for the inaugural 5024 Village Festival, a vibrant evening event celebrating community, creativity and culture.

Hosted by Central Pacific Collective, the festival will take place on 9 December from 5 PM to 9 PM at 18 Castor Crescent, with entry also available via Hazard Grove. The event marks the official opening of the first Our Whare Our Fale homes, a significant milestone for the initiative.

Featuring a mix of island favourites and international flavours, visitors can expect everything from handmade gifts and sweet treats to coffee, lemonade, jewellery and art. The night promises not only shopping opportunities but also a celebration of kai, music and cultural performances.

“It’s Christmas time, so come along, shop local and enjoy a night packed with kai, culture, music and celebration,” the organisers said.

The festival aims to support local Pasifika and Porirua-based businesses, encouraging residents to bring their aiga and make a night of it.
