BizHub Porirua kicks off on 1 August at Kai Tahi Mezzanine, providing local entrepreneurs a dedicated space to connect and grow their businesses.

BizHub Porirua, an innovative pop-up initiative designed to strengthen local businesses and community connections, celebrates its official launch this Friday, 1 August, at Kai Tahi on Parumoana Street.

From 9 am to 4 pm, BizHub will transform the mezzanine floor into a vibrant, collaborative hub where entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders can connect, learn, and grow together.

The initiative, led by Porirua City Council and Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, in partnership with Wellington Pacific Business Network, Te Matarau a Māui, and the Woolstore, aims to foster collective success by providing free business advice, practical workshops, and networking opportunities.

Sessions will run fortnightly on Fridays through to December, offering expert guidance on business planning, marketing, procurement, compliance, funding, and digital tools. BizHub also encourages attendees to test new ideas, celebrate achievements, and share challenges with peers in a supportive environment.

According to Porirua City Council, the kaupapa behind BizHub is captured by the whakataukī: “He tini ngā whetū e ngaro ai te marama” meaning, we shine brightest together.

BizHub Porirua welcomes everyone, whether experienced entrepreneurs, new start-ups, or residents curious about exploring business possibilities.

Upcoming dates include 15 August, 29 August, 12 September, 26 September, 10 October, 24 October, 7 November, 21 November, and 5 December.
