Aotea College’s Under-15 rugby team has done it again, defending their Ross Findlay Cup title in dramatic fashion with a 34–33 victory over Kāpiti College.

In a high-stakes game that kept spectators on edge until the final whistle, the Aotea boys showed grit and determination to clinch the one-point win and retain the silverware for a second consecutive year.

The team was led by coaches Junior Utumua (JB) and Richard Crawford, with Bridgett Baker managing the side. Their leadership and guidance were praised by supporters and school staff alike after what has been an impressive season.

“Congratulations to the boys and the whole coaching crew. It’s been an awesome season, and this win was well deserved,” said a school spokesperson.

The Ross Findlay Cup, named after a local rugby stalwart, remains in Aotea hands for another year as the team cements its place as a powerhouse in youth rugby across the region.
