Porirua families are in for a thrilling treat next week as a life-sized Hot Wheels Monster Truck rolls into town. To celebrate the first-ever New Zealand tour of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire, the iconic Tiger Shark truck will appear outside The Warehouse Porirua on Thursday 25 September from 4pm to 8pm.

The free event promises hands-on excitement for tamariki and adults alike, with opportunities to take photos with the truck, meet the driver, and collect autographs.

Jo Mitchell, General Manager Marketing at The Warehouse, said the in-store appearances are about making the Monster Truck experience accessible to as many whānau as possible.

“We can’t wait to bring Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live into local The Warehouse stores, giving families a chance to share in the action,” Mitchell said. “With ticket sales showing just how popular the stadium shows are, we’re excited to bring some of that magic to communities around the motu.”

Porirua is one of only three stops for the Tiger Shark’s in-store tour, alongside South Dunedin and Manukau. Yesterday’s launch in South Dunedin drew a strong turnout despite rainy weather, with fans lining up to get close to the massive machine.

The event leads up to the Glow-N-Fire stadium show at Sky Stadium in Wellington on Saturday 27 September. Featuring oversized trucks, gravity-defying FMX stunts, and interactive fan experiences, the show has already sparked record demand across Aotearoa. Auckland’s 4 October performance has become the highest-selling single show in the global tour’s history.

As presenting partner, The Warehouse will bring interactive activities to each stadium venue. One lucky young fan at every show will even have the honour of pulling the famous red lever that starts the engines and launches the show.

Families attending the Porirua event can also explore a wide range of Hot Wheels-themed merchandise in-store, from toys and apparel to school gear and homeware.
