Te Rauparaha Arena is celebrating the city’s most influential figures as part of this year’s Wellington Heritage Festival, offering a week-long self-guided tour through the Porirua Hall of Fame.
Running from Saturday 18 October to Saturday 25 October, the exhibition at 17 Parumoana Street will be open daily from 9am to 5pm, free for visitors of all ages.
Showcasing outstanding individuals across sport, the arts, and politics, the Porirua Hall of Fame honours those who have made a lasting impact both locally and nationally. Their achievements have helped shape Porirua’s identity and put the city on the map.
Visitors can walk through the Arena’s exhibition space at their own pace, reading about each inductee’s story and legacy.
The event is listed by Porirua City Council as part of the Wellington Heritage Festival, a regional initiative that highlights the capital’s rich history and celebrates the people and places that define it.
