Lamb & Calf Day is making its much-anticipated return to Pāuatahanui School on Saturday 8 November 2025, promising a family-friendly rural celebration from 10 AM to 2 PM.
The annual event draws families from across the region to enjoy a country-style fair packed with adorable animals, live music, games, and food. Entry is free, and organisers are expecting a large turnout for the school fundraiser.
“This isn’t just a school event, it’s a true community day out,” said a spokesperson from the organising committee. “We’ve got everything from lambs and calves to tie-dye shirts, fairy houses, and raffles.”
Highlights include the children’s Ring Judging competition, with Best in Show announced at 10 AM, as well as a wide range of stalls selling handmade crafts, sweet treats, and food truck favourites. Visitors can also look forward to classic fair games, a live music lineup, and a strong sense of community spirit.
To ease parking concerns, free shuttle buses will operate from Whitby Adventure Park and Motukaraka Point. However, organisers have asked attendees to leave their pets at home, as dogs are not permitted, with the exception of service animals.
With free admission and a full schedule of activities, Lamb & Calf Day continues to be one of the most anticipated events on the local calendar.
