Paremata-Plimmerton Rugby Football Club will host the National Club 7s tournament at Ngāti Toa Domain in Plimmerton on Waitangi Weekend, Saturday, February 7, bringing teams and supporters from around the country to Porirua.

The one-day festival will be held at the club’s home grounds and is expected to be a major drawcard of the long weekend, combining high-level club sevens rugby with a strong social atmosphere.

Paremata Plimmerton Rugby Football Club, known locally as Pare-Plim, is also running an R18 fancy dress competition on the day, sponsored by The Supply Room.
Prizes include a $500 meal and drink voucher for the best group of six or more, and a $100 meal and drink voucher for the best individual costume. Winners will be announced at 1pm and must be present to claim their prize.
Club organisers said hosting the National Club 7s at Ngāti Toa Domain on Waitangi Weekend was a chance to showcase both top-tier rugby and the club’s connection to the local community.

The tournament is expected to boost nearby cafes, bars and accommodation providers, with visiting teams and supporters spending the holiday weekend in Porirua.
Matches will run throughout the day, with finals scheduled for the afternoon.
