Sushil’s Musclechef Café has sold out its first Wellington On a Plate event of the year.
A Culinary Tale of India will be held on Saturday, 1 August, from 6pm to 9pm.
The six-course seated dinner will take guests through the flavours and food traditions of North and South India.
Chef Sushil, a MasterChef contestant, two-time Burger Wellington finalist and regional winner, will introduce each course and share the family stories and traditions behind the recipes.
The menu will move between the rich, wheat-based dishes of North India and the lighter, spicy, rice-based dishes of South India.
Each course will highlight the cooking techniques, spices and flavours associated with its region.
Tickets include the six-course meal, chef-led introductions and a take-home gift bag, with an optional beverage match also available.
The café limited numbers to create a more personal dining experience.
Sushil’s Musclechef said the event was about bringing people together, building healthier communities and sharing its love of food.
The dinner is part of the Wellington On a Plate festival.
