In anticipation of the quarterfinal match between the Hurricanes and the Melbourne Rebels at Sky Stadium on Saturday, 8 June, Metlink is enhancing its transport services to accommodate fans.

Larger buses will be deployed on key Wellington city routes post-match, and additional train services will be available on the Kāpiti-Porirua line. These extra train services will depart once the game, including any potential extra time for golden point, concludes.

Hurricanes officials expect around 16,000 attendees, a number that could increase due to the favourable 4:35pm kickoff time. Metlink advises fans to travel early to ensure they arrive on time.

Kāpiti-Porirua line passengers should check the adjusted timetable on the Metlink website, as it has been modified due to coastal erosion north of Porirua.

The standard Saturday timetable for buses, trains, and ferries will still be in effect, offering half-price, off-peak fares all day for those using Snapper cards.

Metlink also promises continued service for potential semi-final and final matches at Sky Stadium on 15 and 22 June, should the Hurricanes advance.
