The Plimmerton Park & Ride will close for a week from Monday, January 12, while urgent resurfacing work is carried out.
The closure affects the 107-space Park & Ride at the end of Douglass Close, next to Plimmerton Station. Contractors were unable to complete the work earlier due to commitments on the Transmission Gully project.
The subway linking the Park & Ride to the station will also close for three days, from Wednesday, January 14 to Friday, January 16.
Free parking will remain available in the nearby 45-space Porirua City Council car park, also located at the end of Douglass Close.
From that car park, passengers can access the station via an alternate pedestrian route about 300 metres south along St Andrews Road, State Highway 59. The subway between the station platforms will remain open.
Commuters are also encouraged to use other nearby Park & Ride facilities at Mana, Paremata and Porirua stations.
Metlink apologised for the disruption and thanked passengers for their patience while the essential work is completed.
