Moore Wilson’s Porirua has completed a full redevelopment of its Kenepuru Drive store, wrapping up a two-year transformation focused on customer experience and sustainability.
The refreshed store brings together Moore Wilson’s signature offerings in one convenient location, with parking right at the door. Customers will find an extensive range of foodservice grocery items, chilled and frozen goods, packaging, and fresh produce alongside cheese, meat, smallgoods, bakery, patisserie and specialty ingredients.

Upstairs, the mezzanine level showcases a wide selection of kitchenware, homewares, and toys. Shoppers can browse appliances, gadgets, cookware, glassware, and chef’s tools, as well as toys and games from trusted brands like Lego, Sylvanian Families, Playmobil, Siku, and Hape.
One highlight of the renovation is the installation of the Dick and Otis Frizzell “Fresh” mural, now prominently displayed along the main store wall. The mural was relocated from the warehouse across the carpark, which now houses a nautically themed Wine, Beer and Spirits store. Designed by Human Dynamo, the new space evokes a replica of Mana’s boatsheds, with wooden decks and sprits counters creating a unique shopping environment.

The adjacent warehouse also functions as a distribution hub for Moore Wilson’s stores and online operations, offering bulk purchases of wine, beer, and spirits at discounted case rates.
As part of the store’s sustainability push, 310 solar panels have been installed on the roof, and a Thundergrid EV charger is available in the carpark. All chillers and freezers now run entirely on CO₂, including a newly added walk-through produce chiller.
Visitors can enjoy fresh coffee served by Supreme-trained baristas, with beans from eight local roasters available to purchase and grind to order. At the store entrance, O’Sushi offers freshly made sushi and hot meals, while the Rockyard food truck brings Vietnamese flavours every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Located just three minutes from Porirua CBD and 30 minutes from Waikanae, Moore Wilson’s Porirua invites locals and visitors alike to rediscover the upgraded store and all it has to offer.
