Police are appealing for information after a dirt bike rider fled officers in Porirua City Centre on Sunday afternoon.
A Police unit spotted a black and red dirt bike being ridden dangerously on Titahi Bay Road about 1.50pm.
Officers signalled for the rider to stop, but the bike fled. Police did not initiate a pursuit because of the manner of driving.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the dirt bike around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact New Zealand Police via 105.police.govt.nz by clicking “Update Report”, or by calling 105.
